Addictive Desert Designs was born from an Addiction to push the limits of Design, plus a strong desire for the Desert. This has driven us to pursue our goals of engineering the world's toughest and visually appealing products for Trucks, SUV's and Jeeps.
Started in a garage outside of Phoenix, AZ in 2007 as R & H Longtravel, we are now occupying a 40,000 square foot production facility and corporate office. This new facility is a big leap from the days in that tiny garage, but we continue to lead the way with product development.
From our Industry leading Ford Raptor SVT Bumpers and Suspensions, to our ever growing product line-up for nearly every modern Truck on the market, we are raising the bar on style, ruggedness and performance.
Pickup trucks have come a long way, and have evolved beyond their strictly-utility beginnings. However, no matter how you use your truck, whether it’s for a trip to the mall or to the lumberyard, the fact remains that above all else, the key feature of a pickup truck is the bed. That’s why it is so important to take care of the bed and protect it from wear and tear and exposure to the elements. At BAK Industries, we have developed a line of tonneau cover products that help keep your truck functional and beautiful.
Because everyone uses their truck differently, there is no single right solution. That’s why BAK Industries offers the BAKFlip, the TiltBAK and the RollBAK. Each is designed for a different need, but they all share the hallmarks of BAK Industries products: durability, reliability and quality.
There are many reasons why people choose tonneau covers for their trucks. Those in harsh-weather areas may want to protect the bed from extreme conditions. Others might be looking for a way to protect their cargo. Or perhaps it’s for improved aerodynamics. Whatever the reason, what matters most is that you choose a tonneau cover that can handle whatever you throw it at. If strength and durability are what you’re after, BAKLiner tonneau covers are a natural choice.
One of the challenges many truck owners face when picking a cover is the difficulty in finding one that meets their needs. For instance, a hard cover can offer excellent durability and security, but they can also limit the utility of your bed. Soft covers, on the other hand, are flexible and easy to use, but offer minimal protection. Tonneau covers from BAKFlip offer the best of both worlds, giving you the strength and security of a hard cover with the convenience and ease of access of a soft cover.
Of course, while many of the reasons to add a tonneau cover are practical, there’s no denying the aesthetic appeal of a well-designed cover. Not only do tonneau covers keep your truck looking like new for a longer time, they can enhance the overall appearance of your vehicle. If you take pride in your vehicle appearance (and who doesn’t?), a tonneau cover is a sensible measure to protect your investment.
Tom Bradley created Bestop in a small upholstery shop in Boulder, Colorado in 1954. Working out of an old brick schoolhouse with seven employees, Bestop developed a reputation for quality and the word spread. During the next ten years, Bestop continued to grow and its canvas soft tops were distributed throughout the United States, and even internationally.
62 years later, Bestop is the largest manufacturer of soft tops for Jeep Wrangler and CJ's in the world, and is the sole supplier of factory soft tops for Jeep Wranglers since 1986.
Bestop is located in Louisville, Colorado not far from where it started. With more than 500 employees world-wide, Bestop manufactures a broad line of Soft Tops and Accessories for Jeep CJ and Wrangler, plus an expanding line of Truck Accessories. All Bestop-branded soft tops are designed and manufactured in North America.
Bestop has a long history of ground-breaking new products for Jeep Wrangler. Introduced in 1987, the Bestop Supertop became the gold standard in replacement soft tops for Wrangler and CJ models. Just a few years ago, we created the Trektop NX which is the best-selling Wrangler soft top in the nation.
Innovations keep coming. Bestop introduced the Trektop Pro Hybrid Soft Top which rewrote the book on what a soft top can offer - soft top versatility with the convenience of a hard top rear glass hatch. It's truly unique. And Spring 2016 brings the most innovative new product for Wrangler JK in recent memory - the Sunrider for Hardtop. It replaces the factory Freedom Panels on Wrangler JK hard tops with an all-season, all-weather flip-back panel.
Bestop has more exciting new products on the way, so stay in touch with us here at Bestop.com. The future is now.
While attending our first Jeep Jamboree in Bethel, Maine with our then-new 1994 Jeep YJ, we quickly learned that it was far too easy to do serious damage to the engine of what had already become our favorite toy. During the event we had made several new friends and had so much fun that, despite the damage, we were definitely going to attend more offroad events. We were hooked. Before the next event it only made sense to protect the underside. Since there was virtually nothing available at the time, we started designing and making our own skid plates. It wasn’t long before our friends asked us to make a whole range of skid plates for them, too! ...and a business was born. Since 1999 Skid Row has been providing the offroad community with top quality skid plates and innovative accessories, such as our Top Props. We know that when it comes to skid plates, you want protection that works and that is dependable. We also know that part of your fun is working on your vehicle yourself. So we make sure that our products are tough, but not tough to install. Proudly made in South Central Pennsylvania, we remain dedicated to manufacturing here in the United States as we know it benefits our community. We are also committed to making quality products that let you enjoy your vehicle more whether it’s on the street or on a trail. We share your passion and always enjoy seeing our customers out having fun with our products. Happy trails!
The tongue weight is the static force the trailer tongue exerts on the hitch/tow ball. Proper trailer tongue weight improves the vehicle and trailer towing experience by improving performance. Not enough tongue weight or force on the hitch/tow ball causes an increase in trailer sway from side to side, making it difficult to control. Conversely, too much tongue weight or force on the hitch/tow ball could overload the rear tires of the towing vehicle, pushing the rear end of the vehicle around. This could also negatively affect the vehicle handling. Performance is impaired as you might not be able to go around corners and curves properly, and your vehicle may not stop quickly enough when you press the brake pedal.
The Weigh Safe Drop Hitch effectively measures the tongue weight of your towing load, improving the vehicle tow load balance and performance.
